read. you can choose how many notifications you want to receive for a
particular email. You will receive a notification every time your email
gets opened up to the number of notifications you select for that email.
If your email gets opened more than the number of notifications you
selected, you can still check its tracking details by signing in to our
service and then go to Tracked Emails page.

I need to install any software on my PC to use your service?
Absolutely No! you don't need to install any
email tracking software or email marketing software on your PC. All you need to do
is to register with us and sign-in to our service.

How do I start
Tracking my Emails?
In order to track your Emails, follow these simple
steps.

Sign-up at
http://www.getnotify.com/signup.asp

You will receive an account activation email on your
given email address. Activate your account by using the link which is
provided in the activation email.

After Activation, log in to your account and then
click on "Track New Email"

On the "Track New Email" page, follow the step by
step procedure to and the click on "Get the Tracking Image" button.

When you get your tracking image, you will see a
countdown timer. Insert the tracking image into your outgoing email
before the countdown timer reaches zero and send the email in the
same way as you send earlier. The tracking of your email will be
activated after the timer reaches zero. If you send a Test Email to
yourself, make sure that you should not open the email before the
counter reaches zero.
Please note that if you fail to insert the tracking image
into your outgoing email before it is activated (i.e. before the counter
reaches zero), just click on the "Get the Tracking Image" button again to
get a New Tracking image and insert it into your outgoing email for which
you want to receive email read notification.

What is a Tracking Image and where
do I find the tracking image on the screen?
The Tracking Image is an image file which you have to
insert into your outgoing emails in order to track them. You can use a
small white image as your tracking image which is almost invisible to
your recipient or you can select your own picture file (e.g. a
signature) to be used as your tracking image. You will get the choice of
selecting the tracking image on "Track New Email" page. It will be up to
you whether to to select the small white tracking image, which is the
default option, or select your own image as the tracking image.
If you select small white tracking image, you will see a
similar screen after clicking on "Get the Tracking Image!" button as shown
below.

What will happen if I fail to insert the tracking image before
the counter sets to zero?
In this case,
you may get false notification telling you that your
sent email has been read, before even sending your Email. Therefore in
such a case, you are required to click on the "Get
the Tracking Image" button again to get a new tracking image and then
insert the tracking image into your outgoing email before the counter reaches zero.

How do I
insert the tracking image into my email?
If you are using
Internet Explorer, just right click
on the tracking image and select copy from pop up menu. Then go to your
email program and paste the tracking image in your outgoing email at the
end of the email.
Make sure that
you paste the tracking image in your email before the counter reaches to
zero. If you couldn't paste the image before it is activated, just
click the "Get the Tracking Image" button once again to get a new
tracking image and copy and paste it into your outgoing email.
If you
are using
FireFox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera or any other Web
Browser, Please drag the tracking image by using left mouse
button and drop it into your outgoing email before it is activated (i.e.
before the counter reaches zero). If you couldn't drop the image before
it is activated, just click the "Get the Tracking Image" button once
again to get a new tracking image and drag and drop it into your
outgoing email.

Can I use my own image file as the Tracking Image?
YES! you can upload your own image file (GIF, JPG, JPEG
or PNG format only) to be used as the tracking image. For example you may
want to use your email signature image to be used as the tracking image.
Currently you can upload a maximum of Five images to be used as your
tracking image. The size of each image should be limited to 2 Mega byte and
the image dimensions should be 300x250 pixels or below. If your uploaded
image has higher dimensions, it will be resized automatically to fit in
300x250 pixels.
You can upload your own images by clicking on "Upload
own image" in the site navigation menu. Please note that if you delete
one of your own tracking images which you have already used to track your
emails, in this case your emails will still be tracked and the
default small white tracking image will replace the deleted image
automatically.

Does GetNotify work with my Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, AOL and other online
Email providers?
Yes, but you need to have a registered
Email address from these
services. You will send the Tracked Email normally as you have been
sending earlier, but in addition, you need to copy and paste the
tracking image in your email when ever you want to send a Tracked Email.
For this, you need to register with us and then sign-in to our service
in order to get the tracking image.

How many
tracked emails can I send daily?
There is no limit on the amount of
Tracked Emails you can send daily.
But please do not use our service for SPAMMING. If we receive any
complaints about your account, we may terminate your account if you are
found involved in any SPAMMING activity using our service.

How many
recipients can I send to in my email?
We do not put a limit on the number of recipients you can send to in
your Email, however, while getting the new Tracking Image, you should
reduce the To field to a maximum of 255 characters. This
"To" field is not necessarily be the same as the To field in
your email program (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, outlook etc). It is just for
your convenience that whenever a read notification arrives at your side,
you should know for which of your sent email this notification has
arrived. Also the Subject field should not necessarily be the same as
the subject field of your actual email. Again it is just for your own
convenience.

Why some of my sent emails are not tracked?
GetNotify requires
that your recipient should use HTML Email format. If your
recipient does not support HTML Email, GetNotify will be unable to track
your email. This problem can also occur if you do not insert the
tracking image properly in your email. For more information about the
requirements of tracking image please see

section.

What is a Recallable Email?
A Recallable email is
just like a normal email, but with this, you have the ability to change or
delete the actual contents of your email even after sending. When you send a
normal email to someone, after clicking send button, you cannot change the
contents of your email as the email is sent to the recipient, but with
Recallable email, you can change or delete the contents of your email even
after sending. You can chose three type of methods for your email message to
expire.
There is another advantage of
Recallable email, which is that if your recipient wants to read your
email, he/she must allow images in order to read your email because your
message would have been converted to image by getnotify.com. So when your
recipient allows images in the email, you will be notified immediately that
your sent email has been read by the recipient.
1. Delete after specific
number of views.
In this method, you
specify a limit on the number of views of the email. For example if you
set a limit of 5 on the number of views, your recipient will not be able
to read your email contents after opening it for five times. This means
when he/she opens it for sixth time, he/she will find that the email is
blank.
2. Delete at the exact
date and time.
In this method, you
specify the exact date and time after which your recipient will not be
able to read your email. When he/she will open it after the specified
date and time, he/she will find that the email is blank. For example you
specify that your email should expire on 1st June 2009 at 9:30 AM, if
your email recipient tries to open and read your email on 1stJune 2009
at 9:31 AM, he/she will not be able to read the email.
3. Delete after specified
time after first open.
In this method, you
specify a time after which your recipient will not be able to read your
email, but this time starts from the time when your email recipient
opens your email for the first time. For example you specify the time of
one hour, it means that whenever your recipient opens your email for the
first time, he/she can open and read your email within one hour after
first opening, after that he/she will only see a blank message.

What is the
limitation on Recallable Email?
Both you and your recipient
use HTML formatted email. Your email message is sent to your recipient as an
image, if your recipient's email program or email service provider blocks
images, your recipient will not be able to read your email until he/she
allows images in your email.
Please note that after
creating a new Recallable email at getnotify.com, you will have to use
your own email program/email service provider to send the email to the
recipient. We shall convert your email message into an image and assign a
tag to that image, whenever your recipient opens and reads your email, we
shall notify you that your sent email has been read by the recipient.
